A car accident in Centurion has resulted in the deaths of three persons, including two children, over the Easter weekend.

It is believed that the collision occurred on Friday night about 6 p.m. on the N14 close to Rooihuiskraal.

A light delivery vehicle was discovered to have left the road, overturned multiple times, and then crashed into a wall, according to Emer-G-Med spokesman Kyle van Reenen.

Accident

An adult man and female passenger in the car were discovered to have moderate injuries; they were treated and stabilized at the site before being sent to a nearby hospital for additional care.

Three persons who were seated in the cargo compartment were thrown and fatally injured during the crash mechanism. Upon the arrival of paramedics, three individuals—a male roughly seven years old, an adult female, and a female approximately one year old—were pronounced deceased, according to Van Reenen.

South African Police Services (Saps) were on the site for additional investigations, Van Reenen said.

Crash in Limpopo

The governments of Botswana and South Africa are arguing over arrangements for the return of the victims’ remains from the horrifying bus accident in Limpopo.

45 people were killed in the tragic accident on Thursday when their bus fell off a bridge on the R518 road close to Mokopane.

The vehicle carrying 46 passengers from Botswana to Moria spontaneously caught fire after a 50-meter freefall, badly injuring only one person.

The lone survivor, an 8-year-old girl, is recuperating at a hospital.

Returning Home

Lemogang Kwape, the minister of foreign affairs for Botswana, has stated that his country is working with South African officials to make it easier for the victims’ remains to be sent home.

According to Kwape, a group from the Botswana Embassy in Pretoria collaborated with South African authorities to obtain additional details regarding the unfortunate event.

“As long as we are here, we will work tirelessly to make sure that every procedure concludes logically, with heavy hearts,” Kwape remarked.

Only nine of the 34 remains found after the crash could be identified, according to Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, a spokesman for the South African Police Service, who made the announcement earlier on Friday.
