A well-known physician from Dobsonville passed away after being shot during a heist at his Soweto, Johannesburg, office.
Dr. Michael Isabelle, the general practitioner, suffered injuries on Saturday afternoon when three suspects entered the office claiming to need medical attention for a friend.
“They shot the doctor as soon as the receptionist allowed them into the consulting room. Before leaving the scene, they took two cellphones, according to police spokesperson Col. Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi. “The victim was brought to the closest hospital.”
An attempted murder charge was filed. “The charge will change to murder after the victim succumbed to his injuries this morning,” stated Nevhuhulwi.
