The first wife of King Misuzulu KaZwelithini, Queen Ntokozo kaMayisela, is a topic of increasing discussion as it is purported that she has left the royal residence in Ulundi.

The late King Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu’s widow, Queen Nompumelelo kaMchiza, has also been missing from significant royal occasions lately.

Neither Queen kaMayisela nor Queen kaMchiza made an appearance at the 40th anniversary of the Reed Dance, which took place in the eNyokeni Royal Palace in Nongoma last weekend.

Since only Queen Nomzamo kaMyeni, the king’s third wife, was honored during the event, this has given rise to speculation.

According to sources, Queen Mayisela has moved out of the KwaNkomonye Royal Palace and is currently residing in a leased Durban flat.

“She moved out and is staying in Durban,” an informant stated, raising the possibility that there were problems between her and King Misuzulu.

In 2023, there were reports that King Misuzulu had an affair with Queen KaMayisela. However, he refuted the rumors, and the couple chose to remain wed.

The Maskolo Foundation, which coached young boys, was formerly headed by Queen KaMayisela, but the initiative has now ceased operations.

Given that Queen Kaiselela had always been a major presence at these kinds of celebrations, many people were aware of her absence during the Reed Dance.

Many have questioned about her future in the royal household in light of her decision to skip the event and rumors that she is going away.

Regarding Queen kaMchiza, the late King Zwelithini’s fifth wife, it is thought that she has withdrawn from royal affairs since she refused to back Prince Simakade kaZwelithini’s coronation in favor of King Misuzulu.

Rumor has it that instead of taking part in ceremonies, she now concentrates on catering contracts for royal gatherings.

Many people were disappointed that Queen Kamisha did not attend the ceremony like the other queens since she was preoccupied with running her business and accepting a catering tender for the Reed Dance VIP attendees, according to a source.

Both Queens KaMchiza and Mayisela did not answer calls or texts, thus attempts to contact them were unsuccessful.

The royal family’s spokesperson, Prince Simphiwe, stated that the queens ought to address the issue on their own.
