At the Ekurhuleni Presidential Imbizo, President Ramaphosa Will Address Issues Related to Service Delivery

At the upcoming Presidential Imbizo, Ekurhuleni people will get the opportunity to meet President Cyril Ramaphosa. On April 11, 2024, Tsakane Township, Gauteng, will host this interactive event. It will be an important opportunity for the community to speak with the country’s leader directly about issues that are important to them and offer suggestions.

As a crucial component of the government’s District Development Model, the Imbizo seeks to promote a hands-on approach and guarantee that concerns pertaining to the community are taken seriously at the highest level. This initiative will be supported by President Ramaphosa, who will encourage discussion and examination in an attempt to open the door for positive improvements in the area.

The Imbizo serves as more than just a forum for debate; it is a tactical tool used by officials, including the President, to track and assess the observable progress of the different government initiatives and interventions carried out in the region.

The event, which is themed “Leave No One Behind,” underscores the core ideas of inclusive development and participatory democracy. It offers a forum where anybody, from the general public to company owners, can freely share their opinions and complain about the local government services in their province or district.

A key component of the District Development Model is the “One District, One Plan” concept. Through the coordination of cooperation amongst individuals, labor unions, traditional and community leaders, corporations, and religious organizations, this program makes sure that all relevant parties are involved in the decision-making process from conception to execution and evaluation.

A number of community outreach initiatives will be led by government ministers, members of the executive council (MECs), and mayors of the Ekurhuleni municipality as part of the activities building up to the Presidential Imbizo. In advance of President Ramaphosa’s visit, these events aim to prepare the community, promote active engagement, and get early input.
