Botlhale Boikanyo is a South African poet, spoken word artist, singer, and actor who was born on May 23, 2001. She gained the most notoriety in 2012 after winning South Africa’s Got Talent. At the launch of the Legacy of Hope Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital campaign in New York, she read her poems.
In 2014, the poet released his first original poetry CD, Spoken Word & Music. For the work, she won the Best Traditional Album South African Music Award. Her Madiba tribute performance on South Africa Got Talent became widely popular.

Botlhale Boikanyo Childhood
On May 23, 2001, Botlhale Boikanyo was born in Mahikeng, in the province of North West, South Africa. Of the three children, she is the oldest.

Botlhale Boikanyo released her debut album, Spoken Word and Music, on the SONY label on May 5, 2014. She has had meetings with well-known people like Dr. Maya Angelou, Whoopi Goldberg, Sir Anthony Hopkins, and Charlize Theron.

At a historic stadium recognized for its several significant moments in South African sports history, the poet composed and performed a poem honoring rugby athletic superstars.
