Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly in competition for several transfer targets.

Both the Chiefs and the Pirates are recognized for their desire to add the greatest players to their respective teams.

It is anticipated that there won’t be any differences between the two Soweto giants this season. Naturally, this will lead to them fighting for certain objectives. There are already rumors that they are fighting for Shaune Mogaila, Stanley Nwabali, Oswin Appollis, Elias Mokwana, and Riaan Hanamub. Nevertheless, it appears that there is still more on the list, since a new name is expected to be involved in the dispute.

It was recently reported that Chiefs and Pirates were vying for Ivorian striker Freddy Michael Kouablan. Now, according to Soccer-Laduma, the two teams also hoped to recruit Baraka Majagoro of Chippa United. However, it appears that the Eastern Cape side is now trying to get the Tanzanian to sign a new contract.

Chippa to Deal With Chiefs and Pirates Majagoro

“Majagoro only signed a one-year deal with an optional year when he joined the squad at the beginning of the season. The Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs both expressed interest in him, so the club chose to execute the option and give him a more year. This indicates that his deal will expire in June 2026. This is only to demonstrate their desire to keep him, but in the event that he departs, they must profit monetarily from the relocation,” the insider stated.

By season’s end, Chippa may lose a few of their most important players to the Chiefs or Pirates. In addition to Majagoro, the Soweto giants have also been connected to Nigerian international goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali. But it appears that if he were to depart from Nelson Mandela Bay, he would be traveling overseas.
