Clint Eastwood has finally disclosed the true color of his well-known poncho from the Dollars Trilogy, capping nearly 50 years of conjecture. The renowned actor solved the enigma by answering a fan’s query on X, the former Twitter.

The admirer posed the question, “Dear “Blondie,” ‘What is the REAL COLOR of your [poncho] in the Good, Bad, and Ugly?”Occasionally, Brown and Olive Green appear on the screens.”

“Hello, I only had one Poncho, and it was reversible, with olive green on one side and brown on the other,” was Eastwood’s unequivocal response. I’m grateful.

The ninety-three-year-old became well-known for his legendary performance as the nameless cowboy in Sergio Leone’s spaghetti westerns. In “A Fistful of Dollars,” “For A Few Dollars More,” and “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly,” he wore the same poncho.

Even after Eastwood’s disclosure, fans didn’t take long to offer their own theories. “This was a shirt I owned. It was medium brown in the sunlight,” a user reported. Some suggested that the different hues were caused by the type of film used.

In a 2020 interview, Eastwood—who still possesses the poncho—exposed, “Yeah, I still have that. It’s resting in a glass cabinet. never been cleaned.

The nonagenarian director and producer is still working in the business; he is currently working on the thriller “Juror No. 2,” which is said to be his final project.
