Cops Looking For Five Criminals Who Stole From A Church

On the eve of the beginning of Easter weekend, members of the United Congregational Church of Southern Africa in the North West were robbed of their belongings in Jourberton, outside Klerksdorp.

On Thursday night, it was alleged that five armed men broke into the church during a service.

The gunmen demanded that the attendees lie down, searched everyone, and took their money, handbags, and cell phones.

Pastor Lesiba Kgwele, the convenor of the Moral Regeneration Movement Provincial Interim Committee, has called this act “barbaric.”

“Until the rapacious, ruthless gang is apprehended, nobody will be secure. As a result, we urge our communities to support the police in their investigations as they pursue the robbers through a manhunt.

“The effort to tackle the scourge of gangsterism in Matlosana must be bolstered and a strong partnership with our communities established in order to restore the rule of law as well as residences’ confidence in the criminal justice system.”
