Due to a Fallen Tree Blocking Rhodes Drive, There Will Be Traffic Delays in Cape Town.

Traffic delays for Cape Town as downed tree blocks Rhodes Drive, M3 affected

There are major traffic delays in Cape Town as a result of a tree falling across Rhodes Drive at the M3.

This comes after the Mother City experienced several hours of intense rain and wind.

There is blockage in both lanes. Drivers on Rhodes Drive are encouraged to exercise caution, according to Maxine Bezuidenhout, a traffic spokesperson for the City of Cape Town.

“Traffic officers are diverting vehicles onto Orchards and Fernwood roads, where they can join the M3,” Bezuidenhout stated.

“The Department of Parks and Recreation is present. The tree will need to be cleared by them.

Redirecting traffic is another task for the on-site traffic officials.
