For the Brentford Game, Saka and Martinelli Give Coach Arteta a Fitness Boost

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

Manager Mikel Arteta stated that Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka are probably in the starting lineup when Arsenal hosts Brentford on Saturday.

During Monday’s 6-0 victory over Sheffield United, Saka was ruled out due to illness and Martinelli had a cut.

“We’re fairly confident that they should be able to participate in that. On Thursday, Arteta told reporters, “But we’ll have to see.”

With 61 points, Arsenal is two points behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League. On Sunday, Liverpool will take on the reigning champions, Manchester City, who are second in the standings with 62 points.

Arsenal, who have won seven straight league games, according to Arteta, should concentrate more on keeping up their own momentum than on the outcomes of their championship competitors.

“We just need to concentrate on our game, try to win, and on Sunday, any fan should be able to enjoy a beautiful game,” he stated.

“It will be entertaining to watch two of Europe’s top teams. I’ll watch the game while sitting there with my kids.

In November, Brentford, with 26 points and a great record, played a close home match against Arsenal until Kai Havertz scored the game’s winning goal in the 89th minute for the visitors.

Arteta remarked, “We always suffer against Brentford. We know the demands we have and what Brentford will ask of us to win the game.”
