Owen Da Gama

An experienced football coach from South Africa has promised to stop working with unprofessional teams.

  • Da Gama destroys PSL clubs
  • The 62-year-old was once the coach of the Pirates.
  • The seasoned coach is unemployed at the moment.

Consequently, What Happened?

Owen Da Gama has stated that he is no longer available for teams without a vision, which is why he declined offers from PSL clubs.

The seasoned coach revealed in his most recent interview that he has received offers from a number of PSL and NFD teams, but he turned them down because some organizations want unachievable, overnight success.

What Has Been Said

“At the start of the season, I spoke with a few teams, but after I got their perspective, I just felt this is not the project I want to be a part of,” Da Gama said to FARPost.

“I’m not a vacuous person. But I do think that, even if football is a process, changes are possible.

“Everyone of the clubs I spoke with at the start of the season is having trouble. He continued, “I was aware that I could not be a part of something like that.

“There are, therefore, excellent teams in the PSL and NFD that are well managed. Of course, I’m excited to be a member of an established team.
