Gautrain Resumes Operations After a “Major” Power Outage

After a brief interruption on Monday morning, Gautrain services have now resumed.

Travel between the Midrand, Centurion, and Hatfield stations was impacted by the suspension.

The significant power outage that caused significant train delays earlier in the day was the cause of the temporary suspension.

Since then, the power has been restored, and the train service is running on time. Speaking on behalf of Gautrain, Kesagee Nayager said, “We sincerely apologize to our customers who were inconvenienced this morning while traveling to and from these stations.”
