The murder of a girl, whose body was discovered in a car wrapped in a blanket, has shocked the residents of Emanzimtoti, a hamlet south of Durban. In a statement, Nonhlanhla Khoza, the KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Social Development, stated that the girl, who was reportedly raped, was discovered dead in a car with stab wounds and her corpse covered in a blanket.
Khoza stated that the child’s father was in the car with someone else when the finding was made, according to the results of the investigation.

Tragically, the girl passed away while the father is thought to have been rushing her to the hospital.
“We have communicated with the KwaFelekisi community and have confirmed that the girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a well-known local youth who then stabbed her. This family has experienced a terrible incident.
Khoza went on to exhort the community to work closely with law enforcement, stressing the value of exchanging any pertinent information that would help apprehend the offender.
She urged law enforcement to investigate every possibility in their quest for the victim’s and her family’s justice.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the young girl’s family and loved ones. We are devoted to providing the KwaFelekisi community with all the support we can during this difficult time. We stand in solidarity with them.
A group of social workers has been sent to offer the family the much-needed psycho-social care they require at this trying time.
