Gospel Musician Betusile Mcinga is Not An Employee, According to IEC

The IEC is aware of images making the rounds on social media purporting to show a South African gospel singer working for the commission.

The South African Electoral Commission (IEC) has acknowledged that it is cognizant of images making the rounds on social media purporting to show a well-known gospel singer working for the commission.

“We are aware of photos circulating on social media that falsely depict gospel singer Betusile Mcinga as an employee of the Electoral Commission (IEC), while he is shown wearing a political party shirt,” the IEC stated in a tweet that was released on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday. It is verified that Betusile Mcinga is not employed by the IEC. To stop false information from spreading, we implore the public to double-check information before sharing it.

The gospel singer and songwriter Betusile Mcinga hails from South Africa.

He was born in King William’s Town, Eastern Cape, on November 25, 1982.

Growing up, he was surrounded by music because his parents were choir directors at their own churches.

Mcinga shared the following on Facebook on Friday, May 24: “Nanko u IEC wenu 😂😂❤️❤️
