According to reports, her husband assassinated gospel singer Funanani Mbedzi on Saturday in church.
Worship House reported Funi’s demise. Funi was one of their lead singers.
Our hearts are crushed following the loss of one of our lead singers. Since Project 2, Funi “Khavhanndwele” Mbedzi has been associated with Worship House. We shall really miss her. We’ll shortly provide more details about her funeral.
According to the police, the murder suspect shot his wife many times after breaking into the church in Makonde Shadani hamlet, outside of Thohoyandou, at around six o’clock in the evening when the congregation was praying.
Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, a spokesman for the Limpopo SAPS, stated that the husband left the scene after killing his partner.
Even though it’s still unclear why this horrible occurrence occurred, domestic violence is a possibility. After evading capture for two days, the individual turned himself in to the police yesterday.
