Northern Cape

  • Temperature: Fine and hot to very hot, but extremely hot in the north, becoming partly cloudy except in the south, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the north. It will be cool along the coast.
  • Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate south-easterly becoming fresh in the afternoon.

Western Cape

  • Temperature: Morning mist over the central interior, partly cloudy and warm to hot but very hot over the West Coast District.
  • Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly to south-easterly but strong along the south-west coast.

Eastern Cape

  • The Western half: Cloudy with fog in places in the morning, otherwise fine and warm to hot, but cool in places along the coast.
  • The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate to fresh north-easterly, becoming fresh to strong easterly in the afternoon.
  • The Eastern half: Partly cloudy and cool to warm with morning fog along the escarpment but fine and warm to hot north of the escarpment. It will be cloudy with light rain along the coast and adjacent interior, clearing from the west.
  • The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.

Kwazulu-Natal

  • Temperature: Cloudy and cool with fog along the escarpment, but warm in places in the north. Isolated showers and rain are expected.
  • Wind: The wind along the coast will be southerly to south-westerly, becoming easterly to north-easterly from the south from late morning and spreading north.
  • The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate
