In Pietermaritzburg a Woman Was Murdered With a Shattered Bottle

Pietermaritzburg’s KwaPata community is incensed at the death of a woman in front of her friend and kid in the Vubamasi neighborhood. It is said that Thulisile Zuma was assassinated on Sunday morning by a someone she knew. The man allegedly used a shattered bottle to slit her throat. She passed away right there. According to Sergeant Sifiso Gwala, a spokesman for the UMgungundlovu District Police, Zuma was at her friend’s house when the event occurred.

According to him, the suspect proceeded to the residence where Zuma was trying to find her.

“The suspect went to the nearby home of Zuma and called Zuma’s son while his friend searched for the key to open for him. His mother does not wish to open for him, he informed the son.

“The son went to his mother’s house and kept knocking on the door until someone answered. He stated that the suspect then got into a struggle with a man inside the residence and struck him in the head with a bottle.

According to Gwala, the suspect began fighting with Zuma’s child, so she intervened to attempt to calm him down.

“Plessislaer police are looking into a murder case. Police are searching for the suspect, who is still at large.

Three weeks have passed since the last incident, in which a mother and her kid were set ablaze in a KwaPata home. When the incident occurred, Phumzile Malinga (28), a resident of Willowfontein, and her three-year-old son Bongakonke were visiting her fiancĂ©e, the child’s father, in KwaPata.

The fire was allegedly started with gasoline. The mother passed away in a hospital, and the infant was killed by burns inside the home. Councilman Cyril Ngubane of Ward 10 told The Witness that the neighborhood is furious about the event and that residents have been assisting the police in their search for the perpetrator.

“This is not good at all; we had another incident not too long ago in which another woman died.”

“We do not want our ward to experience any more incidents of this nature. To talk about this in more detail, we are planning to meet with the ward committee. He remarked, “We’re hoping the police will track down the suspect so he can face the consequences.
