Kaizer Chiefs Are Low in Demand in Europe – See Reasons

An ex-Kaizer Chiefs player who was recently believed to be practicing with their Soweto rivals remains a hot topic of interest in Europe ahead of the new season.

After being released by Stellenbosch FC, a former Kaizer Chiefs player may find it easy to join another club.

Kgaogelo Sekgota joined Stellenbosch on a free transfer from Chiefs at the start of the season and won the Carling Knockout Cup.

The Chiefs released a handful of players at the start of the season in an effort to restructure their roster. They signed players in several departments, including attack. Pule Mmodi, Ranga Chivaviro, and Jasond Gonzales were added to the roster. This meant that certain players, including Sekgota, would be rendered redundant. Sekgota joined two more senior attackers, Caleb Bimenyimana and Kamohelo Mahlatsi, at Naturena’s departure door.

Sekgota rapidly settled well at Stellenbosch, winning a trophy within six months of joining the club. Something he had failed to do in two seasons with the Chiefs, thus his sudden release was a great surprise. This publication said that he was eventually released owing to disciplinary difficulties. After weeks of training alone, it is rumored that he has returned to a former team.

Sekgota’s last report was that he was back practicing with one of his former teams, Moroka Swallows. The Dube Birds experienced a unique mid-season shift after firing a big portion of their roster. Whether or if the quick winger registers with the club, it appears that he will have little trouble finding a club in Europe next season.

European Club Interested in Ex-Chiefs Star Sekgota?

“While the Premier Soccer League door remains plainly open. According to information received by the Siya crew, numerous Scandinavian countries, including Norway, Sweden, and Finland, have inquired about his (Sekgota’s) availability. I wrote Soccer-Laduma.

If Sekgota visits Europe, he will be familiar with the region. He had played in Portugal and Lithuania before returning to South Africa. He has represented four clubs in the country: Bidvest Wits, Swallow, Chiefs, and Stellenbosch.
