Kaizer Chiefs Defeat Leaves Kgaogelo Sekgota Without a Club

Kgaogelo Sekgota and Happy Mashiane stroll through the Danie Craven Stadium

Kgaogelo Sekgota, the former winger for Kaizer Chiefs, was released by Stellenbosch earlier this month, and he remains unsigned. It took the 26-year-old just six months with the Cape-based team to break ways with Stellies.

The parties decided to split up with immediate effect, according to a statement issued by the club. The Citizen claims that the former Kaizer Chiefs winger’s release might have been the result of his lack of self-control.

“Both parties agreed that they must just quietly part ways, as they didn’t want to embarrass him by going the disciplinary route because the club would have been forced to reveal why they are taking that route,” the Citizen reported.

After being underutilized, KGAOGELO SEKGOTA departed from Kaizč Chiefs.

“He’s not a bad boy, but I think he was upset about being placed in the reserves.” I believe he was only irritated. I think he’s still a strong player,” the article continued.

Stuart Baxter and Arthur Zwane both underutilized Sekgota during his two years with Kaizer Chiefs. The former winger for Bidvest Wits, who has also played in Portugal and Lithuania, will be hoping that joining his new team will enable him to play at his peak once more.

Given that Moroka Swallows has been adding fresh players, he might be feeling optimistic about his chances there.
