Metro FM Post on Instagram

On the 20th of March 2024, the award-winning radio station (Metro FM) made a post on their Instagram account and was deleted shortly.

According to the post, Millet Ben Haim was to speak on Thursday 21st March 2024 at 7:10 AM about the human rights day. They uploaded the post with the caption

” October 7th 2023 marked a catalytic event that saw what has now been described as a genocide unfold, when Hamas attacked young people attending the Nova festival in Isreal and killed hundreds of people, infringing on people’s right to life and starting an unforgettable and ongoing tragedy.”

Listeners spurs an outrage and they have been dragging them like a generator on X. One of X users with the username @cthulhucachoo commented

“Here’s Millet Ben Haim telling us ignorant South Africans that we don’t know what apartheid is, and did you know that the residents of “Bookup” painted their houses multiple colours because they “want to make sure that the world remembers we’re not just black and white”?”
