Mpumalanga Police Look for Those Suspected of Chopping Off a Man’s Hands

Police search for suspects who chopped off man's hands

Six guys are being sought by Mpumalanga police after they are reportedly responsible for chopping off a man’s hands in the region. Last Wednesday, the 30-year-old was attacked while strolling along Kroomdraai Road in the direction of Vosman, close to Witbank.

A case of attempted murder has been opened, and he is currently in the hospital getting well. Police spokesperson Donald Mdhluli stated, “According to a report, the victim was accosted by the men who were driving in a green Opel Corsa bakkie that appeared behind him.”

He claimed, “The suspects tied both his hands and legs and pointed a gun at him before grabbing and throwing him inside the bakkie.”

“They drove into the nearby bushes and severed both of his hands, but that wasn’t enough—they took off with both of his hands,” Mdhluli claimed.

Security personnel later located the man, and they notified the police and emergency services.
