Ngema’s Body is to be Exhumed by the Family in Order to be Buried at Home

A legal procedure has been initiated by the family of the late Mbongeni Ngema, a well-known dramatist and film producer, in order to exhume his remains and bury him in the cemetery of his choosing.

Close associates of the Sarafina movie producer disclosed the startling details; they wished to remain anonymous to avoid retaliation.

At the request of his contested legal wife, Mpumelelo Gumede, the musician, who passed away in a vehicle accident in January while traveling to a funeral in the Eastern Cape, was laid to rest on January 5 at Chesterville Heroes’ Acre in Red Hill Cemetery, Durban.
