Paul Mashatile Allegedly Bought a House of R28.9 Million in Cape Town For His Son-in-Law

Hawks look into a Cape Town home that was purchased for R28.9 million. The Hawks are looking into the source of the funding.

According to News24, Law enforcement is looking into the source of the money since the buyer is married to Paul Mashatile’s daughter, the deputy president’s daughter.

According to an angry X user, he commented that

“This is a Ramaphosa criminal, Paul Mashatile, the deputy president living openly beyond his means. Paul is investigated for R28m house in Cape Town. He is also staying in a R37m house in Gauteng. How did Paul Mashatile afford these expensive houses?”

The Hawks are looking into the sale of homes that Paul Mashatile utilized but that were funded by a service company that won contracts with his department while he was a Gauteng MEC.

Paul Mashatile benefited from the acquisition of properties valued at R65.9 million, which were paid for by Nonkwelo’s businesses. Specifically, an R37 million mansion in Waterfall and an R28 million mansion in Constantia were purchased.
