President Ramaphosa Wished South Africa’s Many Christian Denominations a Happy Easter

A safe and tranquil Easter holiday has been requested for the country by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

“The nation’s spirit is renewed by the prayers and contemplation that characterize Easter. We can also travel through our most beautiful nation and stay in touch with friends, family, and the local community during this time.

The President stated on Thursday, one day before the Easter holiday weekend, “We must, however, remain mindful of and reach out to people in our families and communities who are needy and who will appreciate our support.”

President Ramaphosa wished everyone of the various Christian groups in South Africa a safe and joyous Easter, and he urged everyone to “do our best to make this a safe Easter.”

“Easter doesn’t have to be a time when we wait to see data about accidents or injuries along our roadways or in locations where big crowds of people congregate.

“Everyone should take this opportunity to assess their own attitudes and behaviors and conduct in a way that strengthens society and ensures everyone is safe in the nation. This is particularly relevant to our duty to eradicate violence against women and children.

“Make this a time to exercise our spirituality, enjoy our country, and care for everyone around us,” the president told the populace.
