Regarding the Sex Tape Incident Involving Prajwal Revanna, Kumaraswamy States, “Our Hassan Candidate Has Nothing to Do With It.”

The Prajwal Revanna sex tape controversy

Concerns are raised by HD Kumaraswamy on the timing of Prajwal Revanna’s “sex video” release in the midst of elections. Additionally, he expresses confidence that Prajwal will defeat Hassan for the Lok Sabha seat. On Monday, HD Kumaraswamy, the leader of the JD(S) and former chief minister of Karnataka, disassociated himself from the ongoing “sex video” scandal concerning his nephew Prajwal Revanna, claiming he had nothing to do with it.

This comment was delivered by Kumaraswamy on Monday during a press conference.

After his former home helper filed accusations on Sunday accusing him of sexual harassment and stalking, the Hassan MP is said to have left the nation.

In the midst of elections barely three days ago, the JD(S) leader also questioned who disseminated the videos.

“…who made the videos available three days ago, and why weren’t they released sooner? Why has this long-standing matter been brought up during an election season? The SIT was established to uncover the truth, and anyone found guilty of a crime will be held accountable in accordance with the law, Kumaraswamy was quoted by ANI.

Additionally, he seemed confident that Prajwal, who is running for a second term in the Lok Sabha, will be elected.

“Prajwal Revanna, our candidate, will prevail in Hassan’s election. That’s what everyone says.

The JD(S) leader criticized the Congress party and questioned why the Congress leaders included his family’s name in the dispute.

“Talk about the person; this is not a family issue; this is a Revanna’s family issue; we are not involved in it. They are not together,” Kumaraswamy remarked.

Prajwal is being charged with sexual harassment, intimidation, and demeaning a woman’s dignity under sections 354A, 354D, 506, and 509 of the IPC.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Saturday that a special investigation team (SIT) would be formed to look into the matter. He wrote on X, saying, “The government has decided to form a special investigation team in connection with Prajwal Revanna’s obscene video case.” Hassan district residents are sharing pornographic videos that seem to show women being sexually assaulted.”
