SA Election ’24: More Than 50% of Votes Cast Have Been Officially Declared

After a laborious counting procedure that began with Wednesday’s vote, more over 50% of the total votes have been formally certified.

Out of the 23 293 voting districts nationwide, 11 715 have completed their votes.

With only three stations left to complete, the Northern Cape is probably going to be the first province to complete the task.

With 49.23% of the vote, the African National Congress (ANC) narrowly missed gaining a majority in the Northern Cape.

The Free State is next closest to the finish line, having reached 65%, while the Western Cape has reached 60%.
