Sinner Enjoying the Moment Following His Incredible Miami Show

After winning the Miami Open on Sunday to claim his third victory of the year, Jannik Sinner says he is relishing every second of his incredible start to the 2024 season.

The Italian improved to 22-1 on the year and became a career-best world number two by decisively defeating Daniil Medvedev in the semifinals and Grigor Dimitrov in the championship match.

After defeating Dimitrov 6-3 6-1 in the championship match to win his second Masters 1000 title, Sinner remarked, “This is a special moment.”

“You never know when something like this will happen again. You only get to appreciate this for a single day because the clay-court season, which is quite different, is approaching.

“Let’s see how I perform going forward. However, the hard-court season has undoubtedly been excellent thus far.

Sinner has been dominant this season, winning the Australian Open in January for what is anticipated to be the first of many Grand Slam victories, because to a stronger serve and immaculate shot-making.

After his victory in South Florida, the Spaniard will be watching his adversary in the rankings on Monday. His lone defeat of the year came against Carlos Alcaraz in the Indian Wells semifinals.

“It’s an incredible feeling to be number two,” Sinner remarked.
