In the last 24 hours, two different traffic crashes in Gauteng have claimed six lives.
In the first incident, the driver and two children were killed when the bakkie they were driving on the N14 towards Krugersdorp lost control of the vehicle shortly before the R55 off-ramp.
In a separate event, three persons lost their lives when two cars collided on the R55 heading towards Laudium.
Spokesman for the Gauteng Traffic Police, Sello Maremane, said, “Motors are urged to drive carefully and cautiously.” We strongly encourage drivers to exercise caution when utilizing our public roadways because we are extremely concerned about the needless deaths that occur.
