The Horrific Murder of a Couple Shocks the People of Westbury.

Another tragic murder occurred in Westbury, a neighborhood west of Johannesburg, this week.

This occurs following the Wednesday night shooting death of two parents inside their house. Whether the gunshot was connected to the gang violence that is rife in the region is unknown.

According to Colonel Noxolo Kweza, the Johannesburg police spokeswoman, the three shooters broke in at around 8 p.m. and started shooting at the couple and their girls, who are seven and nine years old.

Kweza claimed that the suspects, who were all wearing balaclavas, started shooting at the parents right away.

“Members of public order policing and the anti-gang unit responded to the incident while they were conducting a disruptive blue-light patrol operation in the area.”

Police ask for Public Assistance

Kweza pleaded with anybody who knew anything about the suspects to contact law police.

She also urged witnesses to report any information to the police by calling the Crime Stop number, 08600 10111, which is a toll-free number. Callers have the option to stay anonymous.

Pastor and community activist Jefferson Alistair said that he is still devastated over the shooting.

“I am actually more injured. They were killed in the comfort of their own home. With tears in his eyes, Alistair remarked, “This same mother lost two of her sons to gun violence a month apart.”

“This is a terrible event for our neighborhood.”

Residents of Westbury, who wished to be anonymous, expressed their outrage when Sunday World visited the region on Thursday, claiming that the killings were starting to become routine.

The Populace Wants the Army to Deploy

They claimed to have been knocking on the doors of Bheki Cele, the police minister, and the South African Police Service, to whom they had been offered interim remedies.

After pleading with Tebello Mosikili, the deputy national police commissioner, to send the army there, the locals threatened to close the region in March.

They desired the army to take the lead in combating violent crime in the community.

This occurred following a man’s shooting death at his pharmacy.

Three unidentified males wearing balaclavas entered the shop where the man was serving patients at the time and ambushed him.
