Stephanus Johannes Grobler, the former head of legal and company secretary at Steinhoff, made an appearance before the Pretoria Specialized Commercial Crimes Court on Friday.

According to reports, Steinhoff asked that Grobler repay about R300 million in salaries, bonuses, and incentives before to its bankruptcy in October of last year. This occurred one day after Markus Jooste, the former CEO of Steinhoff, shot and killed himself.

The Hawks spokesperson, Brigadier Thandi Mbambo, said that on March 20, they issued arrest warrants for Jooste and Grobler. On Wednesday, authorities issued warrants of arrest for Jumper and Grober.

“Among the charges against Steinhoff International Holdings are fraud, a pattern of racketeering activities, and violations of the Financial Markets Act.”
