Today’s court hearing is for the bail of an accused mastermind in the killings of Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his buddy Tebello Motsoane. The Durban Magistrate’s Court is receiving bail applications from Mziwethemba Gwabeni and four other men.
It has been hinted that Gwabeni served as the go-between, making sure that each person engaged in the assassination got paid.
The rapper was assassinated on the day he collected R800,000, which he divided with his co-accused, according to evidence presented in court.
But last week, Gwabeni informed the court that the funds he was given were for his construction company.
He stated that bulk purchasing and consultancy services would be the uses for it.
The 36-year-old added that a few of his co-accused were security guards who worked for him.
