Pay is R45 000 – R50 000 per month CTC.
Minimum Requirements:
- A business degree or diploma in supply chain management or a similar discipline
- Five to ten years’ experience in procurement, preferably in the retail, FMCG, or alcohol industries.
- Professional qualifications (such CIPS and CPSM) in supply chain management or procurement may be beneficial.
- Excellent communication abilities to communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders and strong negotiating skills to obtain the best terms.
- The capacity to evaluate inventory levels, financial records, and market data in order to make wise judgments.
- Meticulous attention to detail to guarantee inventory records, contracts, and orders are accurate.
- The capacity to build a collaborative work atmosphere and manage a team.
- Thorough familiarity with the liquor market, including market trends and product information.
- Owning a car and be willing to travel are requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Procurement and Sourcing Strategies
- Perform in-depth market research and analysis to find new product developments, trends, and competitive pricing tactics.
- Based on factors including pricing, service, quality, and dependability, evaluate and choose suppliers.
- Contracts, prices, and supply terms should all be negotiated with vendors to guarantee advantageous terms for the business.
- Relationship Management with Suppliers
- Establish and preserve solid bonds with important suppliers to guarantee a trustworthy supply chain.
- Keep an eye on things by periodically evaluating the performance of your suppliers using feedback systems and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Deal with any problems or disagreements with suppliers as soon as possible and efficiently.
Stock and Inventory Control
- Examine market trends and sales data to estimate demand and adjust inventory levels.
- Reduce waste and stockouts by implementing effective inventory management techniques.
- Keep an eye on the ordering procedure to guarantee prompt supply replenishment while maximizing stock levels.
Budgetary Supervision
- Create and oversee the procurement budget to guarantee economical purchases.
- Analyze costs and benefits to find areas where you may cut expenses and boost revenue.
- Create and deliver reports on a regular basis regarding market insights, financial performance, and procurement activities.
Choosing and Merchandising Products
- Choose and arrange a wide variety of enticing alcoholic items to satisfy market demands and consumer preferences.
- Formulate and execute pricing tactics to optimize revenue and earnings.
- Organize and carry out sales-boosting events and promotional campaigns to increase product awareness.
Observance and Management of Risk
- Make sure that the purchase process complies with all applicable laws, rules, and corporate guidelines.
- Determine and reduce the risks associated with swings in the market, dependable suppliers, and supply chain interruptions.
Collaboration and Team Leadership
- Provide direction and assistance to a group of junior buyers and procurement employees by leading and mentoring them.
- Collaborate closely with several departments, including marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure that procurement strategies are in line with the overarching business goals.
