Voting Should be Done Carefully, Archbishop Makgabo Encourages Citizens

Thabo Makgabo, the Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town, has advised South Africans to carefully evaluate their ballot choices in the 2024 elections.

During his Easter Vigil at St. George’s Cathedral last night, he was speaking.

Makgabo has urged voters to review the qualifications and platform of the opposing parties.

“This election is more than just a party election. We must choose whether to support or oppose misgovernance, inequality, and ongoing corruption in this election. Party manifestos must be reviewed, but even more crucially, we must determine whether or not we think the parties can carry out their platforms.
