Zelensky Reports That Russia Fired 40 Missiles and 40 Drones at Ukraine Overnight.

According to Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, Russia fired over 40 missiles and 40 drones against Ukraine during the course of the night, striking Kharkiv once more and aiming for “critical infrastructure” across the nation.

Kiev declared that there had been a “massive” attack on the nation’s key infrastructure, although it added that no one has been confirmed dead as of yet.

Zelensky stated on X that “Russia fired more than 40 missiles and 40 drones at Ukraine overnight.”

“A few ‘Shahed’ drones and missiles were effectively shot down. Regretfully, just some of them,” he continued.

“There was another vile missile attack on Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region,” he stated. Russian assaults, some of which have been fatal, have hammered the northeastern city in recent weeks.

According to Zelensky, infrastructure facilities in Kyiv, the southern cities of Zaporizhzhia and Odesa, as well as the western city of Lviv, which is close to the Polish border, were also targeted.

“Russian terrorists once again targeted critical infrastructure,” he stated.

In recent months, Moscow has intensified its attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, conducting some of its largest aircraft bombardments of the two-year conflict.

Zelensky urged Western allies of Ukraine to “turn a blind eye” and to deploy additional air defense systems.

Igor Klymenko, Ukraine’s interior minister, reported that hundreds of rescuers had been sent to various locations throughout the nation in response to “massive shelling”.

“For several hours, the Russian military attacked five regions of Ukraine, hitting critical infrastructure,” he stated.
